A characteristic rock ‘n’ roll, short but bursting with energy, written as a tribute to Little Richard.
Richard Wayne Penniman (1932-2020), known as Little Richard, was a pianist, singer-songwriter, actor, and one of the pioneers of rock ‘n’ roll in the late 1950s.
A rebellious personality, Little Richard made his mark on his era first and foremost with his songs and vocal virtuosity, but also with his unbridled imagination and flamboyant outfits, all of which helped define the tone and image of rock ‘n’ roll.
He wrote and performed some of rock ‘n’ roll's greatest classics, including Long Tall Sally, Good Golly, Miss Molly, Rip It Up, Lucille, and Tutti Frutti.
He introduced the latter song with a long onomatopoeic phrase, which I chose as the very long title of my very short Rock ‘n’ Roll, as a modest tribute.
