A characteristic rock ‘n’ roll, short but bursting with energy, written as a tribute to Little Richard.

Richard Wayne Penniman (1932-2020), known as Little Richard, was a pianist, singer-songwriter, actor, and one of the pioneers of rock ‘n’ roll in the late 1950s.

A rebellious personality, Little Richard made his mark on his era first and foremost with his songs and vocal virtuosity, but also with his unbridled imagination and flamboyant outfits, all of which helped define the tone and image of rock ‘n’ roll.

He wrote and performed some of rock ‘n’ roll's greatest classics, including Long Tall Sally, Good Golly, Miss Molly, Rip It Up, Lucille, and Tutti Frutti.
He introduced the latter song with a long onomatopoeic phrase, which I chose as the very long title of my very short Rock ‘n’ Roll, as a modest tribute.

Frédéric Cellier

Encouraged by Jean Françaix, who praised him as an “excellent musician and tireless arranger,” Frédéric Cellier is the founder and artistic director of STRADIVARIUS Editions.

He is the author of light music pieces played around the world and a considerable number of arrangements in all styles and for all instruments, acclaimed by many personalities in the music world, including Michèle Auric, Jean Françaix, Adrian Gershwin, Wynton Marsalis, Yehudi Menuhin, Madeleine Milhaud, Manuel Rosenthal, Gabriel Tacchino, and Ornella Volta.

A concert clarinetist and certified teacher at the National Conservatories of Nice, Marseille, and Avignon, Frédéric Cellier is a laureate of the Fondation de France and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation.
